    Default Epilogue

    Well,
I just heard that my dealer got BRP to add a year to my extended warranty. Those guys are the best. I figured I would let you guys know since. I doubt I will ever hear what the original issues was.

It sounds great. It will sound better once I get the cat delete. I am almost to 1000 miles on the new engine and it sounds like it should sound when I first start it up.

    Default Different?

Sounds great, that's good. So how much difference in sound is there? Do you still hear anything? Was it determined that was a defective issue that needed to be fixed?

If you listen to the original video, subtract the chattering sound. The new engine sounds normal to me now.

My engine was not fixed. It was replaced. By now the Can-Am techs have ripped apart my old engine and if there is a design or manufacturing problem, I am sure it will be addressed. My guess... I had the bad luck to get an engine that had a part that seemed fine during assembly.

Remember, an engine like this has over 200 moving metal parts and humans assemble them. It will never be perfect. No machine can be.

I do thank you for the kind wishes, but did you read the thread or are you just trying to get your post count up? I have my machine back and am very satisfied with the outcome. Why would I need a repair?

Default my f3 makes a sound also.

my f3 purchased 3 weeks ago makes a sound like a coffee grinder, in the front of the engine. I thought that was a normal sound. would be interested in what BRP finds.

That's the big question. I am not sure I will ever find out unless it affects so many that they have to issue a recall.

Thanks Lamont. By the way, my right hip joint said to tell you it feels much better mounting and dismounting the bike with the third peg.

I think they build my bikes on drunk Friday at the Can-Am factory. So far I am 2 for 2. At least when the first bike broke, it was in September, not at the beginning of the season like now.
    Glad your machine is fixed!
