    Spyderleg,
I'm on for friday the 10th as well. Really looking forward to meeting you all and talking "spyder"--oh yeah, and ryding , of course . Are you familiar with the site "motorcycleva.com? They are starting a passport program this weekend that sounds really fun. They are kicking it off @ Kings Dominion on sat am, but you can mail in applications as well. Looks to be a nice weekend for ryding--I'll be working. See you friday---

Default SORRY EVERYONE SPYDER FREAKING OUT

My red baby is already giving me problems, all started after 600 (534) mile check-up. Sunday with wife's first ride while returning from DC. Spyder went into limp mode (no warnings flashing) pulled over turned off the engine and tried several time to get it out of 5th gear. Nothing, wife freaking out, wants to know what's wrong, as if I know. Five mins later computer resets Spyder showing no ill effects and gets us home fine. Today, Spyder want shift out of first gear and I repeat same. Spyder runs good and gets me home. Since the check-up I have this issue, and brakes driving me nuts making noise when applied at slow speeds. As if that's not enough I smell gas when sitting on her while riding but, no leaks detected. Friday I will take her to the dealer. I haven't even made my first payment. I know this seems like the worst but, it's a blessing to me. I want all the crazy stuff to happen now and not later when I'm on a long trip somewhere in another state. This will ruin my rides coming up and I was so excited about meeting with my Va. riders in Richmond. I will have to catch the next one. Enjoy if the weather permits. Ken

    Ken

Sorry to hear this. Many others on this site have experienced the same issue and it seems to be all related to a relay. My brakes did some squealing for some time but appears that has gone away. Best of luck on Friday hopefully we can meet on the next ride.

    Default Va Riders

    Hello all,

I just bought my Spyder about two weeks ago, I have about 200mi on it so far. And I am still in the process of adding after market mods to it, my Corbin seat just came in. I live in Va Beach, Va. I would be interested in a Spyder grp.

    Default Congrats and Welcome

Welcome aboard, I visit my son that's attending ODU about every three or four months. I have not driven the Spyder there yet. I'm having issues with it right now. Hope to have it working properly soon so I can hit the road. Norfolk would be a nice ride, so I will let you know when I'm headed your way. Ken aka bandwagon

The Dealership said that it was going to take like 6 to 8 weeks, but they called me this week to tell me that the seat was in. They were pretty surprised. As for time, I would have to say it was a little less than 4 weeks.

    Default Today at Poh's Pub

Some pictures taken today at Poh's Pub. Three of us gathered to talk and get to know each other. We had a very aggressive waitress that we thought wanted to sit and chat with us.
Great meeting both Spydermer and Nexus.
Hope bandwagon was able to get his Spyder running.
Seabreeze pray all is well with your Aunt and family.
Silverwolf and UVASpyder like to see you next time.
    Enjoyed the day!

Default GREAT SEEING YOU GUYS MADE IT

The weather co-operated and that was good. As you can tell my excitement is still high. Early wake up this morning, I just had to see how things went. Did the three of you get a chance to ride together?
As for me the day wasn't a total lost, yesterday. A friend of mind that has been a riding partner because I had only a learners permit. Reminded me that the 30 days was Friday. So I put off the trip to the shop (making that this morning) and we drove to Fredericksburg DMV. After a long wait I finally got to do the road test. The lady told me I would have to do it using the two wheel course and perform the same manuvers. I told her that there is no way possible and that I would do my best. We all know what happened there. After failing to make the short cone turns and u-turn, she said that I had failed the test. I told her that someone is going to have to use some common sense here. I will say that she felt bad about having to make me try it in the first place. Long story made shorter, common sense prevailed and I only had to perform the swerve and braking. I'm now legally free to ride without escort, not that I always obeyed that law. But, it feels great to have that M. Thank goodness the spyder waited until after the test to go into limp mode.
I like the silver and black thing you three got going there, pics of you all are nice. I also like the paint job of the steer skull. Well it's time to go munch on some fiber (breakfast) and start the day off right. Take care all. Ken

    Default Virginia Ryders

on the M! I am surprised Virginia is still allowing this, last I heard they were forcing you to commodere a 2 wheeler. I will have to check this again for the other half of the house me wife. The only ride we did together was leaving all going the same direction and peeling off at our homes. Nexus had the longest distance to travel but after seeing his machine I will say he did not get bored or uncorfortable quite impressive!

Default Virginia Spyder's Riders Meet At Poe's Pub

It was a great to get together to meet you both Spyderleg and Spydermer and as you said our aggressive waitress should also be added too.

I hope all the rest of the other Virginia Spyder Riders out there who want to be part of a group should chime in so we can have more participants in our next get-together.

The next time we get together let's wear out some tires and plan a good ride.

    Default My set just arrived

How hard is it to install seat? Do you know anything about installation of saddle bags? The dealer wants 700-800 bucks. I'm in no mood to pay that kind of money after buying bags and saddles. I can use that money to purchase a mc cruise control or an alarm.
