the trooper was a great guy, i figured i wasn't in trouble when he didn't light me up. i found that most cops that ride cut us a brake most of the time.

Reminder to Wear your Helmet to Spyderfest

Drove from CO thru KS and on to Missouri last fall (wearing our helmets as usual). Got checked into the motel in Cuba, MO and walked to dinner, then the wife suggested that ice cream sounded good. I jumped on her SM5 and made a short run to Sonic for a cone, and was pulling back into the motel parking lot when I got "Lit Up". There I was balancing an ice cream cone in the throttle hand and trying to back into a space, (with the quirky reverse button), and when I was parked was informed that Missouri had a helmet law by the friendly deputy. After checking my drivers license and vehicle plate, He informed me that he wasn't writing me a ticket (I did commit several operator indisgressions). I will remember to have my Helmet on this Spring at Spyderfest

well i have noticed that over the years and the greyer my beard gets the less the cops look at me, they tend to look at the younger riders
