Spark plug wires on the 1330 engine
I was wondering if BRP improved their spark plug wires when they came out with the 1330 engine. Cause I've heard here on the forum that the plug wires on the earlier 998 engines were not that great. Are their any other items that should be replaced that is inferior on the 1330 engine? Thanks.

The 998's wires were not only "not that great"; they were TERRIBLE!!
BRP has fixed this with the 1330s...

spark plug wrench size
Just wondering what the wrench size is 4 the spark plug?? I looked in the tool kit and what looks like a s/p wrench is much too small. My 2014 RT-s only has 600 miles on it but I'm getting my tools ready for maintance down the road. I have a couple of s/p wrenches already----just making sure.

Sorry, I'm old, slow too and don't know either, but you've 28,000 total miles planning time before you'll need it. There is a tool kit, part #704700158, that has a double ended socket wrench one end of which may fit the plugs. Check with the tech when you have your first service done.

Thanks Jay,
I'm not really very pleased with my local dealer and after spending a lot of $$$$ there I don't want to make a pest of myself ( as I've already told them off once). The service dept dosent have the greatest reputation ( but they do think highly of themselves). I know that someone on this great site has to know the spark plug wrench size for the 1330 cc motor?
Not wanting to cause,

BTW: found out it's 5/8s socket. Either very thin wall or 10 minutes at the grinder.. Got a ground down socket for my V-max that should fit.
