Default The Season Has Officially Started...

    \
After checking tire pressures yesterday, and finding where I left my jacket in December, I finally fired the RT up, and hit the road... As you can tell; the ice still fully covers the Neversink Reservoir; the first part of the day's mileage. I snuck out to Town, to pick up some lunch for me and the Missus. During this run; I left the radio off, and just listened to what the bike was telling me...
...It was telling me "Thanks for breaking me out of the garage!" It tracked straight, ran smooth, shifted smooth, the gauges all read normal...
After getting some burgers in us, I told the Missus that I had to run that old gas out of the bike... Since she had already figured it pointless to argue; she only asked where I was heading. I decided to run the Hawk's Nest on Rte 97 North of Sparrowbush, NY
It was like a madhouse up through there! Everybody on a sport Bike was trying to drag their pipes or their knees, and too many of them were using both sides of the road!
Once I got back to some saner roads, I tried turning the radio on... no signal!! I must have somehow disconnected the antenna from the receiver while I was wiring up the rear markers... Oh well; another project!
Anyway; this was a real nice 147 mile hop to start the season! I hope that the rest of you have already dug your bikes out, and are happily piling up the miles!
To many more such days!! For ALL of us!

Thanks for the reminder. When I get back from Palm Springs and L.A. I'll get going again with the spyder.

Great scenery. I used to like to go fast to a point, but those using both sides usually wind up dead or hurt bad, as well p... off the sled drivers.

Now Would I be bragging if I said, my 2015 riding season started at noon on New Years day ???

More like Darwinian Theory in action. A lack of evolution is part of the problem. You are seeing survival of the fittest though.

Bob we were in Milford just minutes away. I wish you would have called. I have found a great place on top of the mountain. It overlooks Port, PA.. I mean its way up. Very narrow winding park road. Next time my friend. Tom
Baloo is my name. Spyders are my game. Well, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, yes, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, I mean a doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee-dee-doo. And, well, now. Ha ha! What have we here?

This was one of the FEW times I've been through there that they didn't have cones up all over the place.
Between rock slides and ambulance calls; it's a happening place!
