Default JT's breather kit with cat bypass

I just installed JT's air filter today took 4 hours, 3 knuckles and I now understand why everything is so expensive when the dealer does the work. It was the first time I've taken off the tupperware what a job. While I had it down I also installed Baja Ron's spark plugs and wires to make it time well spent. It tested well and tomorrow I'll take a longer ryde. All in all the changes in the last month this and the cat bypass have made the ryde respond a lot differently.

    Default All ears

I did the JT's air filter and am loving it so far, not too loud for me, but nice deep throaty sound.plugs and plug wires will be a breeze now.I am considering the cat bypass, keep up the review.

I didn't change to the JT air filter, I put a K&N in the stock air box and did the plugs and wires from Bajaron, front and rear brakes and changed the anti freeze. I joke that it took 5 minutes to change the rear plug and 5 hours to do the front one.

I'm thinking about installing JT's filter kit on my wife's '11 RT.
    Two questions:
    1) OEM air cleaner housings are designed to limit intake noise. With the foam pre-filter over the paper element, is the JT kit significantly louder?
    2) I've read the manual on accessing the air box. What panels really have to come off ?

I think even with the foam prefilter there is a BIT more noise. But its not offensive at all.

Remove the frunk and body panels down both sides. That is the easiest part of the job.....

Default JT's breather kit with cat bypass

Been riding it this way for a while now and LOVIN it the MPG have picked up some but I love the growl around 4500 RPM also feels snappier. Hard work to do your self all the upper ware on both sides off and the Frunk as well, glad I didn't try to do it without taking it all off it would have been very hard. Only took about 21/2 hours and two knuckles of skin all in all well worth it.

JT, if you twist my arm and let me try it (as I may not want to keep it if I don't like it), I will shoot a video on doing it on a RT
