    Default F3 gauge spoiler modification

so I really like the gauge spoiler but it's not a windshield.
    So I made an adjustment.
little bit of plastic and $10 worth of nuts and bolts..

    Default Well done..!!

nicely done..tough to look at with these handhelds. Every time I turn it to see the picture the picture also turns. But with a twisted neck it all come clear. I have the bolt on flip (RS) but yours looks cleaner...congrats..!!

Default F3 gauge spoiler mod update

it's hard to compare since I have never driven an F3 with a windshield.
it does push a little bit of air farther up towards my helmet.
heading out tomorrow with a group, will give an update later.
By the way thanks for flipping my pics...

Enjoy the ride tomorrow. I'm curious how it compares to the standard mounting of the gauge spoiler. Let us know.

    Default Where in Ohio

I'm from Fostoria near Findlay in the Northwest part of the State. Seeing your mod I now wonder if the same technique could be applied to the other BRP windshields for the F3. Particularly the Blue Ridge as raising the rear would increase the height very cheaply. The steeper rake would also help deflect the airflow up over us tall people's heads. Thanks for sharing that in pictures. I'm also thinking aluminum or steel would make a stronger set of riser straps in order to deal with the stronger forces the wind would put on a larger windshield. Looks like maybe 3 or 4 inches between the bolt hole centers in the pictures.

Great idea!!!!!! - hope someone tries this and reports back - I would if I could but can't (no F3 yet - soon).

    Default Windscreen adjustment trial

So went out with friends on Saturday, windscreen adjustment
does help, it moves more air up towards my head and shoulders.
still anything over 65 and you can tell it needs a full windscreen but
it was simple and cheap and works well for now...
