    Default Spyder Alternator QUESTION

    Do any of you know what the output of the 2008 GS alternator is ?? I am
    hoping it is more than 25 Watts

    The 2008 to 2013 model years, put out 650 watts

    For my 2008 GS it says 500 watts

    The old, magneto-powered systems were... adequate.
    The new 1200 watt, alternator equipped systems are just better in every measurable way.

    GS/RS 2008 to 2012 500 watts. 200 is spoken for. You have about 300 watts to have fun with at running down the road rpm. At idle you only have 100 to 150 extra.

    You can put bmw system in fits nice 1000 watts system just take your time wiring it in. Put on my 2012 RtS still kicking hard

    Default There you have it..

    Stators up till 2013. Alternators on the 1330ACE engines not the twins...so I believe the RT's and the F3's 2014-15 have the alternators with the higher outputs but regardless they all have more than 25 watts....

    By the way, the 2008 GS magneto, Definately does not put out 650 watts, it's about 44 amps. But I dont know how much of that is used for systems operation. It seems no one knows even BRP and I find that hard to believe!
