Pegasus1300 I liked horses back in the day and when I went to motorcycles, well they are sort of like flying horses, so Pegasus. 1300 is the size of the V4 Yamaha motor and I rode Ventures for many years,so Pegasus1300. I keep it cuz it is easy now to remember.

When I returned to motorcycling after a 20 year hiatus, I also owned a sailboat. It was a Catalina 22 and not really a racing boat but more of a cruiser. The "return" bike was a BMW cruiser. Not long after getting that bike, I also got my first computer and immediately signed up on a web page for the R1200C. I chose "cruisin" for my username there and that gradually morphed into cruisinTX over time.
Those who say " I can't" will always be right.

I left my previous employer 10 years ago and decided after a few months break I'd start my own business. I would hear people say "go ask I.T. (I was the IT manager) and decided to name my business Ask Itee.

I had what I thought was my ultimate bike - a 2015 Kawasaki Voyager. Rode it out to Colorado in 2015 and found that since my feet were not flat on the ground, it tipped over while I was stopped at a light. At 900 pounds + luggage, I couldn't pick it up by myself! With my wife just starting to ride with me (and her bad back), I thought about getting it "triked", but it would have cost $15K. Having heard horror stories about the instability of trikes, I decided to look at Spyders. I test rode one around a block and decided to buy. Drove it home from just east of Philadelphia to Baltimore. I was a "convert".

From my avatar you can see what I did for a living in the Air Force. I had a few nick names in the AF but (while it's strange for either a pilot or a rider) this stuck. I tell people it's what happened to my career after making major, or it's the name of the catcher in "Bull Durham".

I was a boilermaker and worked at nuclear, coal and gas fired power plants and chemical plants during maintenance outages as well as new construction. I got to meet a lot of great people and see and do things that most people can only dream about. Sort of like riding a Spyder!
On the road again...........and forever young!

My initials (RAP) became a nickname back in middle/high school...becoming scrawled on notebooks, scratched into desktops and eventually spray-painted on the side of my college dorm (definitely not one of my best ideas!).
I became a motorcyclist a few years after college, and added the "rider" when setting up my first AOL account about a billion years ago.

Old Thread resurrected. Lots if interesting stuff and a lot of unfamiliar names. Shows the changing dynamics of the forum. My initials are JHB. I started using them along with CanAm when I had an Outlander. Then went to a Commander and now a Spyder. Used the same name on all 3 forums. Easy for an old guy to remember. BTW my license plate frame says "Jim's Motor Psycho". It's been on 4 bikes now..... Jim

My nickname for the last 30 years was Rocket. When I bought this beauty in 1999 I used the handle Valkrocket.
Maybe Lamont remembers riding with this old coot.
Sorry for sideward pic.

While in the Navy, the other sailors didn't want to use (or couldn't pronounce) my last name so they shortened it to Freeze. Hard to find that name free now, so added initials; FreezeFM

OK, I'll join the fun, as I just signed up.
Datsa Noydb is a name I have used for years on forums and anyplace that I needed to provide an e-mail address to sign up for a temporary membership. Will probably be looking for a Spyder soon, so this membership might not be so temporary.
Anyway, I had seen the acronym "Noydb" quite some time ago, it stands for "None Of Your Damn Business". I decided to add a bit of "Italian" flair to it with "Datsa".

In my "former life", I was a U.S. Army UH-1H flight engineer or "crew chief". I served with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) out of Ft. Campbell, KY supporting Task Force 3/327th in the Sinai. We were the U.S. contingent serving alongside many nations in the MFO - Multinational Force and Observers, a.k.a. "Sinai Peacekeepers". Our aviation unit provided support and reconnaissance to the infantry units sent there.
"Peacekeeper6" was the call sign of our commanding officer who flew my Huey (a '72 model that served in the 'Nam) many times. He was one of those commanders who got respect without really asking for it; his chest full of awards and medals, coupled with being an aviator and a former member of the Special Forces in Vietnam, got noticed. His leadership style was the right blend of authority and compassion. All of his subordinates enjoyed serving under his command.
And being 40-something and in GREAT shape (at the time), he could outrun A LOT of 18-year old "punks".
Anyway, I've always admired him and never forgot his cool call sign.

I was pulled over for speeding by a Texas State Trooper and still had the paper license plates on my Ryker. He checked my license, insurance and let me ride off with a warning....”Sir, I couldn’t find a listing in our system for a 2019 Deathtrap so I guess you can leave- Please be careful- Thank you for your service.”
