    Default Spyder stalls, won't start

    Weird thing happened yesterday.

My wife was riding her spyder ('08 RS Elec. trans). She was driving home at 10:00 in 2nd gear on a residential street when the machine just died.

    Kill switch was checked. Ok.
    Fuel was full.
No changes recently to the bike. Been riding it daily.
stuck in 2nd gear. With foot on brake to start, the starter turned, but no start.
    Finally, the battery died.

Long story short: Put on a flat bed and towed home.
Put on a battery charger all night.
Started in morning, ran from garage to street and died. Again, wouldn't start.
Again, let sit for 4 hours on charger, then started and moved back to garage.

I suspect fuel filter, but I'm out of town and can't look at it until later tonight. (where is the fuel filter and can I buy a ready spare?)

    Anyone have any other suggestions?

BATTERY More than likely. The bike won't run on just the magneto, un like a car which has a alternator.

    Check the relays.
