Since I owned a Harley prior to the Spyder, I was a little concerned when I read about the oil change intervels. I talked to the shop manager where I purchased mine and he said the same thing that is in the manual. First one at 3000, then each subsequent one at 9300. I specifically asked if it was 9300 and not 6300 (3000 + 6300 = 9300) and he said that it was every 9300 after the initial one. That is for a 14, RT Limited SE6.
I asked my dealer about the services, I had my initial service a little late at 3500, and he said to do the second service at 9300. He recommends changes every 6600 miles which falls in line with what some others said about every 6,000-7,000 miles. 9300 intervals seems a bit much and I have had excellent service from this dealer so plan on following their recommendations. I use the BRP synthetic blend so not worried about what goes into the bike, but concerned that too many miles between changes could break down the oil. Would rather be safe than sorry.

There is also a TYPO in the accessory catalog that says 300miles instead of 3000 miles for the first oil change. had to use a little math to convert the kilometers(which were correct) into miles to clear that one up.
I am sticking with the manual.

Yes, my dealer was going to have me come in @ 300 miles for some $300+, until I saw what BRP actually recommended!
