Default Possible Solution to Sun Glare on GPS

After reading several complaints about sun glare on GPS Screens, i tried something and while it is not perfect, it helps quite a bit.

Get a small sheet of dark window tint and apply it to your GPS Screen, and turn the GPS brightness all the way up.

It is not perfect but it works. (as far as i can tell)

    Default Glarestomper

I agree. Glare stomper is a great product.

I've tried about 5 different things, including the glare stomper, and the thing that Bob D. posted (for a smaller video camera of course), and nothing seems to really work for me. I've also repositioned the gps. When the sun is at a certain angle to the gps nothing seems to help much. But, if I had to choose one thing that helped the most, it would be the video camera shroud.

I wish someone made a glare stomper for the whole dashboard on the RT.

Ask your wife, I'm sure that she could whip one out if you gave her an idea.

Like especially when it's directly behind you! Even in that situation I've found the anti-glare screen protector on my tablet GPS keeps the screen readable.

I seldom use the GPS, but have had glare issues with it. Most times tilting did cure the concern, other times not.

So I need to ask, when you tinted your GPS screen, did you use permanent tint or the type that stays in place via I think static cling?

The problem of glare on the entire dash, is often reflected light coming off of your handlebars... Try some black tape in strategic locations, and see if it helps.
(Found the Glare Stompers on E-bay for a touch over $13...)

Interesting. I might try the glare stomper. There have been times when we've been riding two up and I can't see the GPS screen my wife looks over my shoulder and tells me what it says.
