    Default 1330 eng noise

    Just wondering my 2011 RT seemed a lot quieter than the new 2014 RTL. there's a lot more engine noise coming up though the glove box area. When I say a lot more noise, I hear the engine more then the exhaust. Is this normal or do I have a problem

    Could be a noisy fuel pump..... I have a similar issue, which I hope the dealer will rectify soon.

    mostly hear about the noise from the fuel pump. Worth having the dealer check it out. If it is the pump the should have them and replace it if not they should check for other possible problems. Could be as simple as an exhaust leak...

    My impression is that engine noise is less compared to the 990 Rotax.

    Akspyderlady has also commented how quiet my 2014 sounds compared to her 2011 when we are going down the road.

    It does sound as though you have one of the noisy fuel pumps.

    Let us know if the fix is the cure, as far as noise goes.

    My 1330 is way quieter (and smoother), than my 998...

    I agree as well.. its very very quiet compared to my 2010 or 2012 Spyders

    Every once in a while I hear what sounds like a fan blowing, is that a fuel pump issue or a cooling fan coming on?

    That can well be your fans. They wll reverse when you are stopped in traffic to keep the heat away from you...

    Default 2014 RT Ltd noise

    Mine clatters when 1st started until the lifters pump up..... just a couple of seconds..... then it's quiet (after I had the fuel pump replaced).
    2014 RT Ltd Black Currant, Bump Skid, TricLed 3rd, 4th and 5th Brake Light with Modulator, TricLed Safety Bundle Led's and Reflectors with flasher option, TricLed Vader lights, JT's dash mount and USB outlet.
