1330 CAT delete for the RT

I just replaced the cat on my F3 and it took me a long time, especially stretching those springs but I guess it was worth it. It is considerably louder and backfires once with each shift. I don't know if that can be remapped out or if I even want to do anything since I don't have any miles with the straight pipe.

I also removed the cat and it is also considerably louder and also backfires on every shift.

Will the backfiring hurt the engine?

PitBull deleted my CAT at the Owners Event in Durango Co on my 2013. I noticed no change in the heat and just slightly loader sound. IMO it was a waste of money. $400 to remove.

IMO I can not for the world of me fiqure why some one would remove it on a 2014.

This is a recording of my Spyder and unfortunately what it does not capture is the incredible sound of deceleration - the rumble you get as you approach a stop is fantastic!

I plan on keeping mine stock for a while and see how it rides. But even if I do decide to switch out the exhaust there is no way I would spend $1,000 on a slip-on anything.

I am looking for ways to improve the performance of the 14 RT. I've inquired and the cost of the catalytic converter bypass and the Akropovic muffler is just under 2 large. A lot of money for so little return but the cool factor is up there. Where can this arrangement be had for less?
