Default Purchasing a 2014 RT LTD in Cognac

    Let the games begin!
Been planning on a Spyder LTD purchase since 2012. Been saving for it and feel pretty close. I found the listing today from Ronbo which really lit the fire!! Been on the phone with dealers from Houston to Pensacola today (some are closed on Monday). He'll bent on a 2014 LTD in Cognac. The wife likes that color.
First dealer gave me a "best" price of $29,600! REALLY!?!
i told him that I am serious and am willing to travel, told him about the KBB value, etc.
These are gonna be some stressful days!!! Just want a fair deal on a 1 1/2 year old Spyder. Not crazy about drama and games but that's the world we live in.
I am being extremely cautious as we purchased a Voltage toyhauler a year ago and an extremely better deal came in the day after we signed the papers!! Oh well, lost that deal not loosing another.
Just wanted to vent a little. Very excited to change my user name! LOL

Good luck, patience is the number one key to making a good deal on a vehicle. As you said being willing to drive around helps as well. My last care i made the deal on the internet after my local dealer would not do it and drove a couple hours to pick it up.

I touched base via email but did not get a reply. Will try again tomorrow. Most want to talk and get contact info (in case we get disconnected! LOL) I totally understand them needing to know if someone is serious but come on! I'm 51 years old and have cash!!! Just want a fair deal on a Spyder.

Do some additional searching. $29.6 is high--IMO. Some dealers are more greedy than others.

When you find the one you are willing to deal with, you are going to be very happy with the 2014. The 1330 triple is SWEET.

Hey folks! Just beginning this adventure. I've seen advertisements for the bike at less than $21,000. BUT I have yet to see a buyers order. (Learned that from the voltage purchase). I'll keep y'all posted. Yea I said y'all. I'm from Louisiana!!!

Talk to Curtis. I bought mine from him and he assisted in getting it shipped to WV. They claim to sell more Spyders than anyone in U.S.

    Default Ohio?

if you don't Mind a little driving...Powersports 360 in Huron has one for $24,000... Which includes dealer prep...not tax though...you would pay that to Florida.

Concur with everyone else who suggested Louis Powersports. I bought my 2014 RT Limited there and got a great deal. They are still offering great deals on their remaining 2014s

One more vote for Louis Powersports. I did a cash deal with them at the end of September after none of the local dealers would even come close. Paid $875 to have it shipped to my door with a full tank of gas and a 60 day temp tag. They have a preferred shipper, and he was as nice to work with as they were. He knew I was anxious, and called me once a day, and answered any questions that I had.

When you say cash you do intend to pay with a check of some sort, like a cashiers check? If you mean 20+ Franklins, don't bother. With banking regulations being what they are no dealer wants to deposit more than $10k in cash or they have to fill out a whole lot of paper work to prove it's not drug money. I tried to buy a pickup nine years ago using actual cash. Didn't fly one bit.

So you're the one who got my Cognac Spyder! Called and got the quote and took too long to pull the trigger (one week) and missed out. Had to settle for Black Currant instead. My bad.

But now, after thinking about it, I'm going to enjoy the machine whatever color it is and will be flying over to pick it up once the temps warm up a bit.
