there seem to be much more since I got into ryding two years ago. But I still like the full size version best.. I work a lot in the garage so I get to push the spyder around to keep her safe. Just like those models but 700lbs heavier...

If I can get the file and get it printed, the print could be used to create negative mold for this purpose.
More interesting to me is if it's accurate? I could see this as very useful in 3D design for Spyder accessories and attachments.

Total cost bumped up to $150...
I've got to think about this a bit now.

Don't think you would have to worry about freight. As noted above, this is an electronic file you would be purchasing. Nothing physical to ship.

These are 3D CG computer models. They are not accurate for design/engineering purposes. The are used for marketing images, video content, animations, etc. You'd be surprised at how many marketing/sales images are computer generated from a 3D model rather than a physical product. Most likely these models are generated from pictures or basic spec drawings by a person who is doing this for these types of websites. Literally working in his basement on a computer creating the models for resale.

These can be used for 3d printing. The file would just need to be converted to STL.

The actual Spyder product exist in the computer as a 3D model as well before its ever produced. It an engineering model with all the components and required 2D drawings all created in CAD Software. Much more detailed and dimensionally exact than these CG models. The weldments, sheetmetal, cast parts, machined parts, plastic, molds.......everything about the bike is based on and created from the 3D engineering model. its quite amazing actually.
