    Cool new to me spyder

    New to this forum..............in November the wife and I picked up a 2009 rs se5 with just over 1200 miles on it.

    Welcome and enjoy your new ride. It always amazes me how someone can have a 2009 and only have 1,200 miles on it. I put that many on mine in the first few days.

    Ann, we've never met (yet), but I'm willing to bet that you are NOT the typical Spyder rider!! (Oh, and just so you know, that was a complement - not an insult. )

    Congrats, i just got a 2008 manual myself on 1/1 so good start to new year! I was choosing between that and an SE5 with only 5k but i really wanted the manual so i go the one with 17k a few hundred cheaper. So far no regrets, but its early lol

    and on your low milage ..................our first one was a 2009 RS (GS) SE5 and it had 12000 miles in about 18 months and it went through two winters with minimal ryding!

    yeah I looked last night it has 2634 now! and it has been cold wet and snowing so we haven been out much.

    Here is mine with my brothers RT, my first ride had to be in the rain, but since there is three wheels i said screw it who cares. I would have stayed home if i only had my motorcycle. it has 17k but not a scratch on it and i got it right around 7k even which is about the best i have seen around here. i have added the backrest already, working on risers this weekend and then bags. Maybe the sway bar later on.
