Default BRP Trailer and wiring harness

Does anyone know if the wiring harness from BRP will work on an aftermarket trailer harness or will it only work on the BRP "high" $$$$ trailer??

The BRP harness is a 4 pin square connector and most other trailers are a 4 pin flat connector. You can always change the plug to fit a different trailer. Search on trailer wiring and you will find quite a few threads on the subject. Good luck.

I went to NAPA, bought a 4-pin square pigtail and a 4-pin straight pigtail and built an adapter ... works great, cost less than $15.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice ... in practice, however, that's just a theory.
