    Default They arrived yesterday

I received two of the pc680's yesterday. Happy to say they arrive with a 100% charge, 12.84V in one and 12.85 in the other, as stated in their ad. Hope to get them installed in a few days. Please ride 'em safely! Ken krb1945

Since this battery is much smaller than a stock battery maybe extra space could be used for more performance accessories (ie Juice box)
    just an idea.

Lamont, did you get the SAE terminals and does it work with the battery tender. I know Scotty here said it's wet vs. gel...not sure that matters too much?

SpyderRT and RS takes a 4 cell battery $135.99. You should not need a dozen of them unless you are powering a lot of lights. Like I said just a thought

Default Deltran battery tender used on pc680

Old habits are slow to die... I have always trickled a new battery overnight before installing. So I used the Deltran battery tender on the two pc680s I received and the charge leveled out at 13.3 volts. After sitting in a 40 degree garage with no load for 24 hours they seem to have settled at 13.10 volts. The battery tender seemed to work on these batteries. I do not know if it will work on them if the charge level is at a lower level.

They came from the dealer with what is a full charge at 12.84 & 12.85 volts. Ken krb1945

Question regarding the Odyssey PC680 Battery, it says that the CCA on them is only 220, isn’t that less than the stock battery which is 350 CCA? The reason I am asking is because I am currently shopping for a battery for my 08 RS and was wondering if you still think it’s a good choice. Thank you so much

When I look at the specs for this battery it says it is a Dry cell and not a wet cell. Am I looking at something wrong. Yes, I know there is some moisture in a Dry Cell, but it is not the same as a wet cell.

A number of owners, my wife and I included, noticed battery acid leaking a bit. Some people got their batteries replaced from BRP but others didn't. Our batteries quit dripping and the dealer didn't do anything for us as far as exchanging them or anything. I would not be surprised that our batteries are a little low on battery acid and probably prone to premature failure. That being said, we haven't had any problems starting our Spyders and its been in the 30s the past few days. We've had our Spyders since March and have over 10,000 miles on each of them.
i guess i'm lucky i have had my 08 rs for over 4 years and 65k miles. no battery problems at all. i ride it at least 4 times per week and its garage kept.

    it will probably fail tomorrow

I am also shopping for a replacement battery and keen on the Odyssey PC680 as well, but like Nino sj, I am also curious to know the differences in the specs between the OEM Yuasa and the Odyssey battery:

    350 CCA vs 220 CCA
    21 AH vs 16 AH

I am a noob when it comes to battery.

    Thanks!
