    Default 622 TRAILER LIGHTS

I have a 2013 RT Ltd with a 622 trailer attached. They were purchased new 16 months ago. Everything had been working fine until today, the trailer has no lights. No marker lights; no brake lights; no flashers or turn signals. The fuse is good and the plug is good. When I turn the ignition key on, all the trailer lights flash momentarily, and then go dark. All the lights on the Spyder are working normal.

Has anybody had the same problem and if so, what caused it and how did you fix it?

I am suspecting a faulty ignition switch or relay in the wiring harness.

Any suggestions would be appreciated to save me a 100 mile round trip to the dealer, plus the possibility of waiting for parts.

I would start checking to see where you are loosing the signal at. I attached the wiring diagram so you could turn on each of the lights and check the pigtail to see if you getting power back at each of the posts. This will let you know if the issue is within the trailer or Spyder. That way you know where to start at.

It sounds like he has a 2013 trailer. That diagram may not work.

    Default Not sure..!!

but I believe there is a module for the trailer lights. I have seen posts about them going bad. If your fuse is good and the plugs as well I would suspect the module. Only thing that would knock out all the lighting...

I had the wiring harness module go out on mine. The symptoms on mine were 1) when the brakes or turn signals were cut on, the lights would flash once 2) voltage at the connector was around 3~4 vdc (way low). It was replaced under warranty.

I think that the warranty on the trailer is only 1 year so be sure to get it in before the warranty is up.
