A sad day...put Spyder into winter storage - ugh....
We had a great year with our 2014 RT Limited! Over 12,500 miles of smiles this year with an AWESOME machine!
It's a sad day as it went into winter storage....cleaned it up, prepped it, plugged in the battery tender, and put the full cover on for it's winter sleep in our garage!
Hope all of you had a great year and let's hope for an early spring! After the last two years in Minnesnowta, we need a mild winter and early spring!
Happy and safe rydin'

I know that sad feeling, just tucked away the "Time Bandit" myself on Saturday.......
That's a pretty bike to be tucked away for the winter, but i would be doing the same thing if i lived where you lived. Here in Gawga (Georgia with the southern accent), i still got a few days left before it gets real cold and we've had a couple of cold snaps where i can ride in between time. I'm constantly watching the weather to pick some days to ride before the winter does get here to stay.

I'm in Georgia as well and decided to ride year-round (since 2012). In fact, when my oldest daughter totaled her car during last years iceFest, I decided just to give her my Ford F150 instead of getting her a replacement car. Since then, my Spyder is primary mode of transportation.
Good winter coat, gloves and rain suit help me enjoy the ride on cold and/or wet days. The only time I don't ride it is when the roads are icy. The good news is that on icy road days, Georgia usually shuts down anyway

Likewise for us here. Winter storage mode for both 's on Monday Nov. 3rd. My last ride was October 23, but I was hanging on in hopes the black ice on my road would melt a bit. It turned cold, so no luck there.
Also had a great year with the 2014. So far, my favorite . I rode 9300 miles between Apr. 30 and Oct 23 on the 2014. Got in a little over 12000 miles though, some miles saying farewell to the 2010 RT-S and the rest of the miles on akspyderlady's 2011. All the miles were good. Hopefully we can do more traveling in season 2015. Maybe get in some riding with the Alaska Adventurers coming in June. Health was a bit of an issue for me this year.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
Here's what I'll be "using" instead of the Spyder in the next few months....some of you in the southern states may not know what it is?
This is a 1983 Honda HS50 snowblower (purchased it new back in '83)....it has been very reliable and starts on the first pull. Yes...I clean and wax it each season along with changing the oil!
Last couple of winters I had put way too many hours of operation on it! Hope it's a mild winter this year!

It's too early to start showing off pictures of those wretched machines...
With 71" of snowfall last year; our 5 hp, 24" Troy-Bilt got to spend far too much time with us!
I'm not ready yet. Taking her up hunting this thursday til probably next wednesday just west of Duluth. I'll take pics if anything white and fluffy falls to earth (besides the flag of a Whitetail). It's the crazy Finnish/Manx blood that runs thru me. Just keep yours safe and warm and we'll ride with ya next spring.

Here in my part of Cali we ryde year round. I just broke out the jacket with liner and will be wearing the gauntlet gloves in another month or so...otherwise I keep on keeping on.
I have to admit that in the winter I do miss the heated handgrips on the '13 ST-L, but I just keep telling myself that real men don't need heated grips <wink>.
