So Randy is your Slingshot a PE also? Will you pay more for it or will it be worth more years from now?

Passenger comfort on a 3 wheeled machine.......As you know, I'm not a RT guy and would never own one even if it was given to me. The problem with the RS and this new F3 is, they just plain suck for a passenger. You couldn't find any worse experience on any motorcycle for the passenger than the RS or F3 Spyder. It naturally wants to throw the passenger off.
The RT is heaven for a passenger, but I wouldn't get any looks from younger 25 Y/O females when I'm riding solo.
The slingshot offers wicked cool looks for me, and the passenger comfort Holly desires.
Randy, I sure hope you continue to visit SL after you get your slingshot. I enjoy laughing at you. Good luck on the 25 y/o.

Choosing between the Slingshot with the Spyder because they both have three wheels is like wanting to elect either Sarah Palin or Hillary Clinton because they're both women. I'm not trying to be snarky, and I mean no offense to anybody — Hey, I like cars myself, and I truly believe in encouraging people to run whatever puts a smile on your face — but it seems to me that the difference between a Slingshot and a Spyder is much greater than the difference between a Spyder and a 2-wheeler.
I realize that this is not exactly a groundbreaking observation, but the Spyder (along with cycle-based trikes and sidehack rigs) has motorcycle-style handlebars, saddle, transmission, etc. It's a three-wheeled motorcycle. The Slingshot has an automotive steering wheel, shifter, clutch, bucket seats. It's a three-wheeled car. Seated in the cockpit of a Slingshot, what evidence would the occupants have that they're not in a regular 4-wheel car with an open top and lousy rear-wheel traction? The Slingshot is simply a modern version of vintage, open-top lightweight sports roadsters; one that unfortunately had to have one rear wheel lopped off to get around current Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Other than that one regulatory reason, I don't see the Slingshot's raison d'etre.

Don't get me wrong, I am sure the Slingshot is a lot of fun. I would love to try one someday; I just wouldn't be willing trade my Spyder for one.
Unfortunately, looking at a Slingshot just makes me want a KTM Crossbow.

Even though nobody was comparing these two machines in this thread,
Just please move over and let me by so your not holding me up with your motorcycle that also had to lop off a wheel to pass government regulations.
