The other way to tell, when you go down. Your priorities: if number 1 is/is the bike okay, #2 is the wife/girl friend okay ? You probably are a biker.
Reverse the order and you are ????????????

When I had my BAD wreck back in 1980...the one where the drunk driver hit me and I was in the hospital for over six months...I could see from where I was laying that the bike was totaled. But I couldn't see the fairing I had on it and asked a friend who saw the accident and came to my aid to see if he could make sure it was ok. The force of the impact had torn it off the bike. I had only put it on the bike a few months earlier.

As it was someone stole it from the police compound where they took the bike and I never saw it again.

I can see a dyed in the wool biker being more worried about the bike than himself.

After my head-on with a Buick; I asked my riding buddy where the bike landed...
