Can I adjust your list a bit in regards to us.

    1. Reasonable purchase price.

Reasonable price, I would lean towards it is expensive for a motorcycle. However, BRP and most oems will push what the market will bear. Obviously, there is more to the price than just materials, the simple fact it doesn't fall over at a stop light is priceless for many.

Mileage, no complaints, but for us, I guess riding two up constantly and not holding back on twisting the throttle keeps us well below the 40...also, I only run ECO on the highway.

Get up and get out of the way performance, someone asked a while back bout the 14 RT series needing more power. I was one a of a few that said I would like more power. I also narrowed it towards roll on power while at highway speeds. Around town, the bike does well. On the highway, and yes I can downshift, I wish it had a bit more power to not need the downshift. This would make the passengers ride at 70 plus easier.

Neighbors...the two next door, have a his and hers Harley set. They like the Spyder and may buy one in the future. My other neighbors, are either so controlled by their wife's they only are allowed beer which they must share with the wife, or the others are glad to see us with another toy.

In summary, yes it is fun. The fuel burn is still low for a toy. We do enjoy logging time on it.

Yeh the price isn't cheap, and my local dealer doesn't come off list. They are a good service dealer though and buying elsewhere then bringing to them for service probably isn't the same experience.....so 24k after rebate for the bike, plus transportation/assembly, plus 'documenation', and I bought their first 3 services package...27k OTD for an S.

To me, worth it. Could have saved 2k going to a discount dealer, but if you don't support your home town dealer, you might not have one in a couple years, and the next closest one is 60 miles away.

This beastie gets comments everywhere and all good. I love going to and from work now just to ride my Spyder. If the good Lord lets me I hope to have 10 to 15 more riding years in me and plan to do them on this machine.

Actually, there is one bad thing about owning a 2014 RT.

I just cannot justify spending money to switch to a 2015 F3.

    Default Cognac RT-S

Right now my dealer, American Powersports in Findlay Ohio has a Cognac 2014 RT-S SE6 in his showroom and his online "yellow tag special price" is $23,500. That's a major discount from the original MSRP of $28,049. That's a big PRO in my book.

If you like the color, and if you're going to (and can afford to) make the jump, the only advantage I can see to a 2015 over a 2014 is if you prefer the newer color choices. $4500 is a lot to pay for that difference, and perhaps a few other tweaks we don't yet know about.

Almost $5K off--that is a pretty good incentive. I paid full price and am still happy with mine. You even get it in the most popular "Collector Cognac" color.

I would jump on it if I were you. You won't be disappointed.

I have owned mine for 1 week, and have now put 900 miles on it. Once I get my comfort seat with the 2" of additional leg room, I will be happy. I still wish I could get 1 with the 200 hp. Vmax engine in it. That would be a true keeper.

I have "NO Complaints with my 2014RTS-SE6 in Cognac.
I bought mine end of July of this year, and have put on 2,849 miles, and I can not wait until SPRING gets here so I can put on more miles.
