Start screen
I cannot be the only one that does not like this stupid start-up screen
So the simple question is if this can be removed one way or another??

Good question. I have not heard of anyone disabling the screen yet. We are pretty sure it has to do with legalities to make sure everyone acknowledges the safety procedures and giving sufficient time to allow the computer to boot up.
That said, most of us use the wait time to zip up the jackets, put on the helmets, and the gloves. Don't tell them that we did not read every word on the card though.

Are you saying I don't have to read the safety rules card each and every time I start her up.
sounds like the mattress tag

I just edit out the start screen:

It's not a big deal. I flip the switch and by the time I get my helmet on, she's ready to start.

Not a problem..!!
I switch to the on position before I even get on. By the time I get seated it's ready to go. This is an RS and I believe they are quicker setting up. The pull down card I use to block the sun on the cluster if the sun is behind me. The led screens seem to go bonkers with to much direct sun light/heat...

Hey, folks, it is a great anti theft system against NON Spyder types. They don't know how to start it with the delay AND Lamont's IPS switch!
Replaced my Lamonster Certified RT Limited #1874 With a 2018 RTL.

THIS IS WHAT IT IS
....When you dial a number from your phone and the connection is made you here it ringing ...right ......Nope , that sound is played so you DON"T think the line has gone dead and hang up........It's sort of the same with the BRP message thing .....The computers need time to boot up ...just like the one you are using in front of you now ......It wasn't 100 % functional when you hit the on button was it ?????........neither is the Spyder ....................JMHO.....MIke

Have to disagree on the phone analogy.
It is not the boot-time that bothers me, it is the fact that I get a silly warning screen after it booted up.
But as stated earlier, so far the only negative
-
At least they didn't put the safety card content in a message box on the screen so you have to scroll all the way through before you can hit the mode button...

Sometimes I have just gotten on, turn the key, push the brake and it starts. I am not sure why it will happen sometimes and not others. I will try to pay attention next time and determine gear position etc.

Life is good, hey?
When we have nothing left to complain about, except the lousy windy weather and or a slow start up screen on the rather expensive motored bike......
Friends, you should see how long it takes to start up my Yamaha Motif XF8!
And yet, still we ponder pushing the Complaint Department button. ;-)
I'm not racing anywhere, that this + or - three seconds will make that much diff...
What else bothers you follks? Filling your own tank, with petrol? Hashimoto
Hahaha, just goes to show how blessed we have it.
Thank God, he didn't give you one much shorter leg...
Ah, oh no, he didn't... Poor you. Hahaha
I was walking down the beach the other day..

It will do that if the Spyder has been turned off for less than a few minutes, not sure of the exact time, sometime, I can fill up the gas tank, go pay for it and then start without having to wait.

I thought you can autostart if it's within the 10 minute window of shutdown. At first I thought it had to do with the 45 minute loud chirping noise that the manual says to keep the starter charged but that doesn't seem to be the case. I can fillup with gas and it will autostart but if I go inside to pickup a couple other things, I have to clear it.
