I have a kit from Aerostitch, but the most important tire repair kit I have is keeping Ride-On Tire Sealant in my tires as a preventative. Beware of Green Slime, it can cause problems with motorcycle wheels.

    Default plug kit

I carry a little car tire plug kit from one of the auto supplies and a little compressor. I do have "ride on" in my trailer tires.

I've found that the "mushsroom" head plugs work best, but it takes a tool to insert then. Still, it doesn't take up much room, so that's what I carry. Add a small compressor and you're good to go. Otherwise a credit card and a cell phone also works pretty good

I bought a kit at Walmart that includes a patch kit, little compressor and a can of that stuff you put in to get to the next shop. I opted for the smaller compressor and kit because of space. But it should be all I need in an emergency.

    Default 12volt plug in?

Is there a 12 volt cigarette type plug in standard on the RT limited to plug a compressor into?

I have the compressor that will either be used with the cigarette lighter adapter or has alligator clips. I figured I would use the jumper terminals under the seat if I ever have to use it.

If you are going for a compressor kit with a cigarette lighter plug be sure to check how many amps the compressor will pull and what amp rating your plug will supply safely. The compressor I use can hook into the battery tender connector so I am not concerned about the power draw.

    Yup!

It's in the top trunk. On the left hand side, and sort of about two-thirds of the way up toward the top...

It's got a rubber cap that folds over it for protection.

I carry one of these, for emergencies as it takes up very little space . . . and I have BEST and GEICO road service as backups! http://genuineinnovations.itwgbx.com...inflation-kit/

    Default Repair Kit

    For my tire repair kit:

    1. Plug kit
    2. Fix A Flat to inflate and help seal the bead and plug and replace the can of Fix A Flat (A.S.A.P.)
    3. 12volt air pump to top the tire pressure (35psi rear 25psi front, then adj. to back to normal after 15 min.)

    That's IMHO

I'm curious, those small compressors, will they put out enough air to fill that big tire?
I mean before running out of battery
