    Default F3 Honda Copy

Anybody seen this before? It is a Honda Goldwing F6 with a front end kit made by Sturgis Motoren company.

This was around long before the F3. Saw one at SpyderQuest last year, but was around long before that.image.jpgThey make the kit for both the F6 and touring.

I saw the one at Spyderquest as well. I believe he said that Reggie at Tricled owned it and he borrowed it from him. The guy said that it was nothing like driving a Spyder. It doesn't have a nanny nor did it have ABS so you really have to watch it in the corners. It also costs about twice as much as an RTL.

The new models now offer abs as well. They had one in Daytona for Bikeweek this year. A bit pricey when you factor in the Goldwing (even a used one). Still happy with the F3 we have on order.

The prototypes and copy cats do pop up once in awhile.

There is also the cheaper version made in China. Around $3,000 bucks, 250cc's or so. What we have mostly heard about these are that you get what you pay for.

There have also been some way more expensive versions. The Honda package seems to be the closest, but it is not spot on with the same technology we are used to. Cost makes the seem like an economy package.

Will there be a "close" competitor? It depends on the popularity of the . There seems to be a finite market, and not sure what will happen after the boomer generation is no longer riding.

I am not very interested in any three wheeled vehicle that was not designed to be that in the first place. I sold a perfectly good late model Goldwing that I could have triked for much less money in order to buy the Spyder.

They look cool but are they easy to steer? I hope the thing has power steering.

I believe that there's a shop in Springfield, MO that markets them.

this thing has been around a while. Hanigan (sp) trike company had one out, then a Company in Holland brought up to a hundred over here. I think thein they called it the F18. It is advertised in the Gold wing magizine every month. Doesn't seem to many takers in the Wing world.
I will stay with the Spyder

What intriques me would be the performance from having the Goldwing engine.

the spyder seems the way to go.... but give them time to develop their concept... remember the transition honda made from the early gl 1000's ... after seeing all of the after-market windjammer successes, honda jumped in with their fully dressed versions.. starting with the 1100 goldwings, and still offering the naked bikes, to the full blown, no choice 1985 1200 goldwing... the rest is history... funny though, how they are going full circle now, with their stripped down 1800's .. (can't think of the model)...

    Default R18

yes they have been out for a while now

at 18,000 for the kit to me purchased and installed including the color matching to your existing Goldwing 1800 makes them a costly beast

only ting I have to say they applied this to a bullet proof platform

way to much for my wallet

there is a dealer in Springfield as of 3 months ago they have not built any

    Default Hannigan

I think Hannigan has a kit for the front which looks similar and actually is used in conjunction with a rear trike kit to make a four wheeled "Quad" vehicle out of a Gold Wing. I'd say once you go to four wheels you might as well just buy a car and have it already done. A convertible car at least has a top and a heater with AC as well as defrosters and wipers.

BRP needs competition. If Honda got serious about doing something on their own, then that would be a benefit to us all. Honda is known for quality, durability and reliability.

Maybe appropriate if we are talking about cost.
