    Default Sept. 28-29 Ride

Get ready to ride up the North Shore of Lake Superior with the Caswell Riders!

For those of you that have made reservations in Silver Bay for Sunday, September 28, here are a few reminders and details.

Remember we are meeting at the Vanilla Bean Cafe in Two Harbors, MN and leaving on our ride promptly at 10am. With that said, if you are planning on eating a FULL breakfast (not just a cup of coffee and a roll) please arrive early enough to make that happen and not have to leave all kind of great food on your plate to head on up the shore.

We will be Spydering to Grand Portage with a few photo stops along the way and then head back down to Grand Marais for lunch. That particular detail has yet to be finalized and will be revealed to you along the route. When we get back to Silver Bay we'll be checking into our motel and settling in. Later that evening we will call Jimmy's Pizza in town and have our dinner delivered poolside and enjoy a nice evening of visiting, eating and swimming...yes, Tommy there is a pool with a big waterslide too!

Monday morning we'll eat breakfast at the motel and start our ride home taking a little detour loop up Hwy 1 and back down to Beaver Bay...or if anyone would like to break away and continue on Hwy 1 Ely by all means do so. The rest of us then will just mosey on down Hwy 61 back to Duluth and head to our individual home destinations.

As with all our rides please arrive (in Two Harbors) with a full tank of gas, raingear, and warm clothes so that it will be an enjoyable ride (wet and cold are no fun). Looking forward to seeing you all in Two Harbors Sunday morning!

    Default Lot's of traffic

Just a heads up - we went up the North Shore today and due to all the traffic it took almost an hour to go the last two miles into Two Harbors. Lots of visitors due to the nice weather and leaves changing. Overall more traffic in general than I have ever seen up there.

Have fun tomorrow. Wish we could attend since this is our home area! Maybe next year.

I envy you folks. Best time of the year to hit the North Shore. I miss that part of MN a lot.

    Dave,

Thanks for the heads up. We are staying in your town tonight and will head out at 8:00am to make it to Two Harbors by 9:00am. I am hoping that fewer people will be heading that way Sunday.
May need to leave before 8 to be sure.

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people......
    but our benefits don't?

Here are a few photos from our weekend. What a great time...Mother Nature blessed us with warm temps (71-68)...we has 18 Spyders, 2 motorcycles, and 23 great people who traveled at the very least 500 miles ove the weekend. Our last morning the north shore reminded us that it is fall in Minnesota with chilly 48 to start our ride home. Thank God for heated gear! Thanks to everyone who came along on our ride.
