Corbin Seat (Lamonster Cut) vs Ultimate Seat
I'll need to make a decision soon and I've looked at both specs. But if you have any experience with either one, I'd like to hear from you.
I'm 6'4", 270lbs of sheer awesomeness and have had a few back and neck surgeries. I'm currently riding a 2014 RT-L with stock seat and BRP backrest.
Any help or opinions would be appreciated!

Have you looked at Russell Day Long saddles?
I've had several on different bikes and just ordered one for the ST.
I swear by them but I've not had an opportunity to compare to the others, only stock.

If it matters to you Ultimate has a return offer if you do not like it. You only have to pay for the shipping costs. Corbin does not so if you purchase the Corbin you own it no matter what.

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people......
but our benefits don't?

Plus 1 for the Russell. The best motorcycle seat I have ever owned.

Choosing a seat/saddle for a motorcycle is a personal one. I think we all could make recommendations, but until you sit on one and feel the experience, we could go on and on about OUR personal preferance, and it may very well not meet yours.
With the above said, I have a Corbin and I have been completely satisfied. I like a very firm/hard feel and that is what my Corbin seat gives me. I do have the Lamonster (scooped) cut. You may very well not like what I do though.
Good luck.

Your best bet is to attend a Spyder event. Many owners with these aftermarket seats are very willing to let you throw a leg over if you ask nicely. Exactly what I did at the Durango owners event and found the best fit for my rump was the Ultimate Tall Boy, just bought one used from a member hear and looking forward to getting it.
They are all different and fit different. Different riding positions too. You need to sit on them to see how they fit YOU.

Yes, you could go to an event and try others seats but then you are sitting on something that's been made for them and broken in by them.
I've heard good and bad from the Ultimate and the Corbin (Not here, from the ADV site on 2 wheeled bikes) but I've never heard a bad report about the Day long.

I have a 2014. I couldn't go 75 miles on the stock seat. Switched over to an Ultimate Tall Boy and went 350 miles on Saturday. I never even thought about my arse. That said, I wore out four Harleys over the years. I tried at least 15 seats in that time. A Corbin was the most comfortable of all. Good luck!

You really need to sit on them before you make a purchase. Also, I'm not sure what the specs are on the "Lamonster Cut" but I can just about guarantee you that Lamont does not have a 34" inseam so I don't know how a seat that fits him would be good for you. I do have a 34" inseam and I ride on the BRP Comfort Seat. I got a good deal on it and if I hadn't I would have gone with a Russell Day Long Or Bill Mayer seat instead.

I sure like being of moderate height and weight so I can be a happy camper on the stock seats for tens of thousands of miles, without the stress of making these extra decisions, BUT GOOD LUCK TO YOU

6'4" and 295#. Had a Russell on my K12, and Corbins on most other bikes. While it takes some real seat time to break in a Corbin, the Corbin with the Lamonster cut and back rest that I had on my 2010 RT was my best ever seat. 600+ miles were no problem. I coupled that with the Seal Floorboards, and hit the total comfort zone (for me). The Lamonster cut rolls your hips back
I've have both back and knee surgery, and know the issues. If I were in the market for a new seat, the Corbin would be my ONLY consideration. JMHO
