Yes , very , had them sitting in the garage for ages too before I plucked up the courage to fit them .
This system just needs 2 wires running to the battery , the rest is plug and play

Default Heated grips would have been nice while ryding today...

It was still a wonderful day to be out ryding the Spyder. I was surprised just how many other bikes were out on the streets today. Even though the chill was in the air. The bright Sun did make an appearance or two, but never for any great length of time. Not enough to make much of a difference, temperature wise.
Still got a lot of pleasant waves, hoots, and the regular friendly comments at the red lights.

Spyder ryding, it makes me feel like a minor celebrity. ;-)

I used Polly heaters. http://www.pollyheaters.com clean install with no visible wires. Also allows you to run whatever grips you want and swap grips when they get worn.

What's inside the bars preventing them from going in?

Bars are solid. The portion of the bars under the grips is made of solid metal. Hence, the polly heaters will not go in.

heated grips rapidly become a necessity rather than a luxury once you use them a bit. Glad to see you get them

And from the inner side? Is there a way?
