Givi bag stripped out lanyard screw holes.
On my left side Givi saddle bag. Both my lanyard screws have pulled out and the holes are stripped. I was thinking about filling the holes with something, epoxy maybe? Then drilling a pilot hole and putting the screw back in. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

The screws are going onto plastic... the screws are metal, like the inserts... IE, same problem !!

the HELI-COIL screws into the plastic.... then the screw that holds 'whatever' it is that you are fastening, will screw into the HELI-COIL....
GOOGLE HELI-COIL and read the specs and instructions....
not to say this is the answer to your problem, but it just may be...
good luck...

I filled the hole with a plastic glue and used a straighten paper clip pushed the glue into the hole and added more glue to fill the hole. I waited 24 hours, then I used a small ballpeen hammer and tapped the glue in the holes flat. I then used an all to make a starter hole. I screwed the lanyard screws to hold the lanyard on. That's IMHO.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I drilled a new pilot hole beside the old one and screwed into that. Quick fix that will work for now. When the snow come I will make it a stronger than new fix.

Here is another idea.
Mine lasted all of a week in my new Spyder. When the dealer just gave me a blank look when I asked for a fix, I gave up and fixed it my self.
I drilled the holes out through the plastic inner layer only. Got some thin but 1/2 inch long pop rivits and some washers that would hold on the rivits but keep the loop in place. Ran the pop rivits through the washer, loop, plastic wall and finally a smaller washer on the inside to keep the rivit from pulling through. Works fine, problem solved and no further problems.
Hope this helps.....

Givi loose screwa
I went to hardware store and found slightly larger screw. Holding fine 1year later.
