North East Tn Motorcycle Insurance
Renewal time and my insurance for my 2014 RT Limited is over $1,000 with progressive. Seems very high. What are other peoples experience with a 2014 RT Limited.
I have no tickets but I did hit an animal with my Goldwing last year and put in a claim for about $2400. I called progressive today and they said that the accident only increased my insurance by $16/year on this bike.
All my insurance is through Progressive now but motorcycle insurance would not have any impact if I switched this policy.
I have until September 20th.
Thanks,

Thanks,
call for quotes from other ins. companies. Call several companies / agents. Be forthcoming about your record and that you are shopping rates.

all on two wheels. More on four or more. Guess I may need to start multi-coloring for three wheels.

Ours is a little less
We have good coverage and a loan which dictates some of the policy.

I had progressive (through USAA), and they were very high.
I settled on TN Farm Bureau, but your mileage may vary

I had Progressive ins. for one spyder and had to go with $1000. deductible. Now have 2 spyders and depending on your age we have AARP/Foremost ins. with 250.00 deductible. And paying about $300.00 less than what you're paying for one. You can also check with Geicko they are pretty reasonable also.

Weird. I have both my RT and RS thru Progressive (via USAA) and I pay $780 a year. That includes trailer, accessories and roadside assistance.

Thanks,
I like Flo but otherwise I have heard nothing good about Progressive and that includes the founder/owner/CEO. As to insurance in Tennessee - I have Farm Bureau and my premiums are about $500 a year full coverage, $100 deductible. I have a 2012 RT.

Thanks,
That is why Progressive lost me as a customer, when I got my 14 they told me the would be 4 more, after it sunk in I said you mean 400 more than what I already paid, when they said yes your insurance is over $1,000 I told them that they were crazy and I would be canceling my insurance with them the next day, I ended up going with Rider Insurance and got it at the price i was paying for my 2011 RT with Progressive.
No love lost between me and Progressive

thanks
Thanks for all the comments. For TN I am finding that Farm Bureau seems like the best options. Got a quote for all INS and saving a lot of money.
Goodbye Progressive!

Good choice. BTW their quarterly magazine is a winner. I read it from cover to cover. Pure Americana.
