I do like the simple boot water repellant and cleaner idea. Oh yeah!!

And #13. That's just bad luck every time. You already know my method. ;-)

I use WD-40 to clean and polish my shotguns after and afternoon of skeet shooting. It s a solvent after all even though it has lubrication qualities.

    Default Check the Label?

WD-40 Is definitely Not meant as a lubricator at all. Even if you buy it in the one gallon can at Canadian Tire.
My, but it sure does clean a bike chain awesome. But then you need to wipe it clean, and add a proper lubrication ingredient. One that will last. I use several for my various hobby and household needs.

3-In-1 professional SILICONE LUBRICANT Is a high performance lubrication safe on metal, rubber, woods and vinyl.

FLUID FILM Rust's Worst Enemy A superior lubricant, rust and corrosion protection, long term penetrant used on cars, trucks, boats, home, farm, marine, tools, mowers, RV's, sports, planes, trailers, electrical industrial, ATV. FLUID FILM, developed and perfected as an unparalleled rust and corrosion control system. Non-drying properties for superior lubrication. Once in place stays put, forming a continuous durable, protective barrier. Utilizes the unique molecular action from wool-wax, along with other corrosion inhibiting ingredients. Always Active, will not dry out or evaporate. Not Water Soluble, displaces moisture, can be applied over damp/dry surfaces. Repels and resists water washout. Excellent waterproofing with NO DRIP bonding properties.
Fluid Film penetrates right through rust, stopping all metal deterioration on contact. Migrates to inaccessible areas by capillary action. Impregnates the pores of exposed metal keeping moisture and oxygen out. Terminates both natural and industrial atmospheric corrosion. Eliminates the destructive corrosive effects of harsh chemicals such as salt, acid, calcium, chloride fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide. Prevents steel from rusting, aluminum and copper from oxidizing, chrome and brass from pitting.
Silicone Teflon Free, will not harm painted surfaces, plastic, or most rubbers. Non Conductor, will not cause static electricity.

There is one more I really like, a lot, but it's not really for the general public.

I agree on the Fluid Film, I spray down the undercarriage and suspension of my jeep with it when I switch out my summer tires over to winter tires, also use the WD40 version of the silicone lube spay on the snow blower to keep it from clogging up.

    Thumbs up WD for fishing

For all you fishermen out there, try spraying your lures with WD40.

    Default Snoop Dog??

Light this mother up! Pipe, by Andy Yoher, at the Edward Winkleman Gallery, is a sculpture made out of black licorice (with silicone and styrofoam). Winkleman tells me that licorice has an unnaturally long shelf life that can be extended with regular rubdowns of WD-40. Delicious!
