Latest update: I after all the testing, they could not find a problem causing the overheating. Th dry even did several temp checks and found it to be running at normal temp. Now he went ahead and ordered the new panels and should be in around a week. Now I did the emai, contact listed here and called them 2 days later where they said they have assigned my case number at the purchasing dealer. Those of you having trouble, I would give them a call if you didnt get the auto reply with a case number. I'll have before and after pics posted once they are installed.

My friend called BRP last week and they told him he didn't need a case number because they had it in the system since he called. They told him to just let his dealer know and they would get the panels ordered. Does this sound correct?

Panels
I told my dealer I wanted the new panels on my ST-S and I didn't have a case #. They called BRP and called me back several hours later and told me my panels had been ordered. I have had them about 3 weeks now and my Spyder is as cool as a cucumber!!

GOT MY NEW PANELS
My wife graciously took my STL to the dealer yesterday and they installed the new air scoop panels the whole process took about a month
from the time I contacted BRP and then my dealer the only hoop I had to jump through was to run up to the dealer and have them hook it up to buds to confirm that I had all of the most current updates and then they ordered up the panels it took about a week and a half for shipping so I am quite pleased with BRP. I have yet to ryde it with the new panels my wife said it is running much cooler though.

SIDE SCOOP PANELS WRONG COLOR

I got the panels for my 13 ST from BRP, but they sent me the worng color, my spyder is black steel metallic and they sent the current black ones, that come on the ST Limited. My dealer called BRP and they said to have them painted. As everyone knows repaints by some low bidder will be no where near the quality of BRP.
Also, it would be a big project to remove the wrong paint, then sand, primer, repaint, buff, etc. Then the paint shop would have to tlry to match the color since BRP will not ship them the paint. I have lots of money in after market parts, plus the high cost of my ST. I nor my dealer cannot understand why did this, black steel met. is a color for the 2014 panels. I will not accept this and my dealer is trying to get BRP to send the correct color panels for my spyder. Has anyone else had this probelm with getting wrong color from BRP?

Success!!
Another successful panel install!! I just got by spyder back from the dealer and drove it to work with the new panels it. First thing I noticed, the heat was completely, if not at all, gone! Then the temp gauge stayed at a constant temp which was the lowest I've seen it on any cruise. Parked and immediately turned off the bike with the fan not coming on at all. Start to finish, 2 1/2 weeks with a little chasing down on my part.
You can check my STS off the books!!

For those getting the panels...how many total panels are replaced?
Does it help or hurt the heat hitting the right foot? That is where I feel the most heat on my 2013 ST-L.
Thanks!

New Side Panels for 2013 ST
I also applied for the side panels for my 2013 ST on Sept 2 and made an appointment to have them install this morning only to find out that only one panel had been shipped and the other side panel is scheduled for December 28. I advised them that I prefer to have both panels installed at the same time. Hopefully BRP will ship before the scheduled ship date and my dealer will call me and let know when the other panel is received.

It does not really effect the right foot heat from the radiator fan. What it helps is the heat on the left side panel and the gas smell from as the gas tank stays a lot cooler.
My engine does seem to run cooler on the highway so the fan does not run as often. So in that case there is less heat on my right foot.

Thanks for the info.
Not sure if it would be worth it to me to replace.
Can you tell me what panels were replaced?

It will help if you want to keep your engine components from getting damaged due to heat build up in the engine compartment because of lack of air flow. The panels are free so no money out of your pocket, just time.

Thanks.
No money out of my pocket...well, not from BRP. But, I would have to pay to have the panels match my paint job.
Needed to get the panel info to try to get an estimate from my painter.
