I am very interested in this lift but I have a question. When I look at the lift instructions for the CanAm Spyder I notice that the lift attaches to the rear shock. Does the lift use the rear shock as a lift point? If so, I am concerned because the service manual has a Notice that you should not lift the Spyder by the rear shock. If the lift only uses the rear shock attachment as a safety tie down I think I will consider buying this lift.
Thanks,
Frank

They still do not have the attachment brackets for 2013 and newer Spyders either.
How is the stability in use? The feet just do not look long enough but looks are deceiving sometimes.

That part of the mount is basically for stability. 90% of the weight is on the front. And besides if the shock mount is that weak it wouldn't take the weight of the shock pressure. .

What kind of drill did you use to power up the lift?

I'm able to work mine using a 18v DeWalt cordless on low gear.

Apparently it is the rear shock bolt that bends when the rear of the Spyder is supported by the rear shock. The reason I asked about where the rear part of the lift is applying lift is based on an earlier thread about lifting/supporting the Spyder.

I agree there shouldn't be much weight on the rear lift point but apparently the rear shock bolt isn't all it should be.
