Kumho Ecsta AST available at Discount Tire - got mine in a week.

Now, on to the dealer to see how much they nail me for the tire change! Wow, never thought I would need to change a new tire at 6000 miles due to wear!? I even deflated the rear from the 28 PSI spec to 25 PSI hoping to get more wear out at the edges....no luck!
Even with the frustration of a tire wearing out in 6000 miles on a $30K machine....I still think the 2014 RT Limited is an AWESOME machine!

Waiting to see if my dealer can order the Kumho tire. If I bring the tire in it's $187 for the labor. May just have hubby to do the tire change. if we decide to DIY anything we need to know about changing the tire?
$187 for the labor? WOW!! I took my RT along with the Kumho to the dealer and went back an hour later and was only charged $78. I didn't have to touch anything except my wallet.
Many of the dealers do not have the equipment to change tires so they take them to a tire shop and you pay labor $$ for them to do that.

5000 miles on the OEM and it is junk. I am not a "burnout monster" so that number is unexceptable. Getting my Kumho put on right now. The center of the OEM is almost completely smooth and there goes the theory that the flatter tire would wear better. These soft OEM's mushroom out in the middle as they spin so the center takes all the ride. The edges look almost new, I am talking several inches from the edge too. OEM's need more strengh to hold its shape... useless tire...
To Gonkers above: car tires will wear in the middle also if you run a lot of air. I had a General Altimax wear that way till I lowered the pressure. I ran as little as 20-22 lb. Got 22 in my current Pirelli and with 3500 on it so far its wearing evenly.
I ride one up only. Other folks may have different ways to attain better wear, but the above has worked for me on two previous tires.
