    Default Utopia back rest - for driver

    Just bought a backrest for my spyder but the dealer won't install -anyone know where I can have this done camas wa area

    Most any Upholstery shop could do it for you or a mechanically inclined friend it is not that hard to install. Your dealer just lost 1hr of labor.

    Shame on the dealer. What a wuss!

    You don't mention what model/year Spyder you have.

    Prior to 2014 RTS install was a little more difficult in that a hole had to be cut in the seat.

    If you are talking 2014 RTS--the seat plug makes installation so easy that a non mechanic can do it.

    A little more information if possible.

    My Utopia back rest came in with very easy to follow instructions, just follow the instructions to the "T" and you should be fine.But if you have questions try "BoB" at utopia is a real frienly Guy.

    Find anyone mechanically inclined. As said, easy to do!

    The driver back rest takes about1/2 hour to install, most instructions are good.

    If you were near me I would do it for free. I put mine on in about 30 minutes. It's super easy. Only scary part is cutting into the seat!
    Once your past that, it is very easy.

    Did you try ProCaliber in vancouver? Ask for shawn and ask him.
