    Default Oil Type

Wondering what kind of oil can be used in my 2012 RT. Can any synthetic oil be used? The kits are quite expensive and I don't need everything in them each time.

I am curious as to what comes in the BRP kit that you don't need?

    Default Here's the thing..!!

if your doing it right...you need everything that comes in the kit. If your short cutting all you save with cheap brands and double using filters and o rings etc. will cost you dearly later on. You can get what you need from BajaRon, and any oil meeting the spec's will work. Do make sure of that regardless of what oil you use..

Interesting this question came up today. I just went through it myself. The BRP kit comes with everything including the oil. I didn't want the kit as I use amsoil. What I found to be a rip off is they charged me for the filters, the "O" rings and the gaskets. Every other filter I buy, if the filter is not a spin on type and requires an "o" ring, it comes with the filter.

Our local dealer charges $80.00 for the everything. I thought I could get a synthetic oil and buy the filters seperate.

I use Amsoil 10W-40 motorcycle oil. You can get the Amsoil motorcycle oil, engine filter, and a O-Ring & washer kit from BajaRon. The new trans filter from your dealer. That's IMHO.
