2014 RT 12 volt receptacle
I just purchased a 2014 Black RTS. Was looking on BRP's web page for the RT 12 volt receptacle that goes in the center console. Can't find it anywhere. Does anybody know if they are available? Also is it a easy install or should I have the dealer do it.

There is no 12v receptical for the center console. There is one factory installed in the trunk and there is an optional one for the front trunk. I and many others have installed one on the dash in the speaker grille, but its not a BRP option.

It shows one on their ad for the 2014. Talking about the new alternator. So much more power to run things.

Yup there it is. I have never heard of BRP offering one in that location. I don't think the BRP socket will fit between the switches under the panel. Maybe a slimmer aftermarket one will. It appears another case of marketing not talking to engineering for the 2014 model year features.

On my 2012 that is the plug for the wired headset and communication system not a 12 volt plug.

Well that's a better explanation. The DIN connector is smaller and it will fit there.

Yep ... it's the connection for the headset communications ... not a 12v plug.

Was hoping it was a 12 volt outlet. I will just put my USB outlet in and power my GPS that way. Thanks everyone
