Hello from Derby, KS. My wife & I just bought a 2013 Spyder RT SM5 last Saturday, 17 May. Long story short we traded in a 5 week old 08 Suzuki/Lehman trike. Due to the rear axle leaking the dealer gave me 2011 Spyder RT as a loner. We had test rode one a few months ago and didn’t care for it but after almost 2 weeks riding the loaner and having to return the trike for a third rear end leak, my dealer convinced his parent company (they are a Can-Am dealer) to sell me the RT. So far it has been great even though I miss having a hand brake. I do need to get some highway pegs of some kind but other than that will leave things stock for a while.

Congrats! Interesting way to become a Spyder owner. Guess it was just meant to be.
You will get over the missing hand brake pretty quickly.

Welcome to Spyder world! The folks at ISCI have a hand-brake available if you miss it too much... I am having one installed by them a week from this Friday.

Default You will never look back!!!

Prepare to have the time of your life. The RT is the Cadillac of all Spyders....(a little biased here). ISCI (one of the sponsors on this site) can hook you up with a hand brake. Enjoy the ryde.

    Default highway bars

Go on here to Spider pops for the highway bars. He has about the only ones that will fit a 2013 model rt . I looked all over for them and just to cut your search short look there.
