44 here. Picked up my 14' RSS last week and need to learn how to ride this differently than two wheels. Love it so far.

68 and love the Spyder. Rode 2 wheels for 50 plus years. Just wanted something different. When I first saw the Spyder, I said, some day I want one of those. When all my friends were riding Goldwings, I was riding Yamahas and then Honda ST1100. Just don't like to do something just because everyone else is.

I will be 51 next month. Bought my first bike for my 40th birthday gift to myself. Since that first time, I have owned 11 different bikes, and 3 different spyders. I think I will be keeping this one (2016 F3T).

    Default Older not bolder

I think as we get older we tend to care less about what people think , and think more about what we would enjoy . I used to get a kick out of working at Heights when I was younger but now it makes me a little nauseous... we do lose that invincibility mentality at some point I think as well . I seem to have a little more disposable income than I did as a youngster too . All that said most younger people would love a Spyder once they drove one for a while

Default Ryde it like you stole it

62 here, feel like 20 again at times...then the body brings me back to reality. I spent over three decades on Harleys, with my last one being the Tri-Glide. If all I was doing was interstate travel I'd probably still have it. But, as the wife said, "We didn't move to Tennessee to stay on the interstates." Once I got passed the "Harley only" mentality, the Spyder, 2012 RT-Limited, rocks! We both love the comfort of it (once I got rid of the stock seat), and the way it handles. I tried to convince her we needed to get the newer models, but no go, as I've sunk $$$ in to this one. Ryde hard, ryde sober. Hope to see some of you in Maggie Valley.

Wrecked a 2 wheeler at 25 and gave up riding, have been curious about Spyder since they came out. Turned 50 and bought me one, love it I just wish I would have done sooner. Half my life I gave up riding and now I will ride a Spyder until I can't.

    Default To old

I am 70 don't feel a day over 99. Had a couple goldwing over the years but had to tiptoe and holding up the bike up was getting to hard. My dad always told me if your feet reach the ground you're tall enough. Purchased 2012 RTS and don't have to tiptoe anymore.

Default who's counting?..... certainly not us!!

Two of us in our mid-70's here, new to Spydering. We've had our ryde (a 2017 F3L) for just over a month now, and closing in on our first 1000 miles. What others may think/say about us is their business; we don't worry. Having fun is ours, and all we really do care about. As for the Spyder? .... Orgasmic, eh!!

50+ years in the wind, turning 71 next month(Aug).Went to 3 wheels in 2011 after my second crash in less then 3 months. Spent 4 years on a Goldwing trike because my dealer was too disinterested to sell me an RT.Sold the Goldwing when I realized I was not going back to 2 wheels and I hated the GW. Saw a beautiful 2012 RTL with low miles and never looked back. Started at 8500 mi and now at a little over 30,000 in 2 years and 2 months.

I'm 72 and my bride is 65 and we both ride Spyders and our "old fashioned" two wheel motorcycles as well. We're both convinced we're at least 30 years younger than our actual ages and that works just fine for us. Our friends think Spyders are pretty spectacular and usually (translation - almost always) ask about the cost. We tell them they're no more than a Gold Wing or touring Harley or Indian and, best of all, Spyders don't fall over if you forget to put a leg down or your foot slips in sand, gravel, oil, or water!

You're probably are a lot happier now than seven years ago. Someone once said, "My wife told me I had to choose between her and my motorcycle. I wonder where she is these days?"

    Default Age is not important

Because my body is 68 years old but my mind is at about 10 for the fun factor. My wife is 66 and has been on an RT since 2010. I just went to a 2016 F3T in April after 40 years on 2 wheels.

If you are having fun and enjoying the ryde that's all that matters.
