Getting ready to buy 2014 RT Limited
Trading in our 2012 RT Limited & just wanted to hear from anyone about the new RT, good & bad before I make the move.
-
Did the same thing and I couldn't be happier. Just took delivery on a matching trailer as well.

Nothing bad to say here

Congrats!
on your decision to purchase a 2014 RT Limited! We did the exact same thing --- traded in our 2012 RT Limited (7,650 miles on it and owned it 10 months before trading).
We love the 2014 RT Limited - smooth.......it's an AWESOME machine. Toughest part is making the decision due to the cost differential!
However, not looking back - it was a great decision!
IF the 2014 engine/transmission would have been the same as my 2012, we would have stayed with the 2012 RT Limited -- the 2012 was a great Spyder with very minimal issues and was extremely dependable.
We have a little over a 1000 miles on our 2014 RT Limited and enjoy it greatly. Getting use to the lower rpms (higher torque engine), lower shift points, quieter engine, higher MPG, love the shifting with the new hydraulic clutching, etc.....nice!

Meta Dittos, lol... great bike. I had a problematic 2011, this is such a great machine compared to that.

Add me to the list of recommendations for the '14 RT. Just get the yellow one. They're faster!

Just bought a RT Limited last month in Florence CO. However, I haven't had the chance to ride it due to the weather and the lack of riding gear for cold weather. Plan on getting some pretty quick this Colorado weather ain't no joke. You can four seasons in one day. Last snow storm was Mother's Day and freeze alerts every morning and highest temperature this Spring has been 70 degrees. Looks like it is going to be a short summer. Thank you for allowing me to whine a bit. Finally, the small brake pedal takes some getting use to in braking time for me that is but it is not a serious problem. I am just use to the easy braking of a Goldwing which I crashed. Can Am RT Limited.jpg

I took a 2014 RT Limited for a test drive today at my dealer's open house. I was amazed the difference in the ride. Engine quieter. Shifting smoother. Shocks softer. If financing works out I will be taking delivery of a 2014 RT S this week. I opted not to go with the Limited. To me the cost difference between the Limited and the RT S is not worth the money in my opinion for the 4 additional features that are not on the RT S. Extra chrome, GPS, Limited seat and front cargo carry bag. The over $ 2000 price difference does not compute in my book. But I am trading in a 2011 RT S and upgrading to a better ride. Good luck to you and your new ride. Chief Ed
