6245 miles on my 2014 Rt-S and the tire almost looks like a slick racing tire, new tire being installed early next week.

At 5220mi on mine its down to the wear bars. I'd definitely not use another Kenda. I got excellent wear on a Pirelli P4 ($108 from DiscountTireDirect) on my previous '11 and will likely use that tire again. Had to use a 205-60/15 which calculates pretty close to the Kenda, other than tread width is a bit narrower. Second choice is the Kumho Esta Ast which is avail in OEM size. I understand a lot of folks use the Kumho with good results. I think it goes for about $80.
Make sure your dealer will install an aftermarket tire if you decide to go that way.

What are you gonna stick on the wheel THIS time??

I probably can get another couple thousand miles out of my rear tire. Have about 6100 miles on it now and center of tire is getting down close to the wear bars. Seems to be wearing out faster than the OEM Kendra rear tire did on my 2012.
Has as anyone installed the new Arachnid rear tire and if so how is it wearing?

Is the Arachnid a car tire or for the Spyder?

Yeah I have 6800 miles on my 2014 RTS and the rear tire is also a racing slick. The worst ever out of my 4 spyders and didn't do hardly any burnouts.
I ordered the arachnid and suppose to be here monday for my dealer to install but I never got the tracking number from them so not sure if it even shipped yet and they haven't returned my phone call or email
If it doesn't show up monday I will be getting a Michelin installed instead.

As I see it..!!
The 2014's with the additional HP's And the low end torque are on tires. Or the process of getting used to the low rpm running is chewing them up..maybe brp needs to get a different tire for the new motor...

Have over 2000 miles on the arachnid rear tire. Works well, handles well, but is to soon for any long term mileage results.

Based on other threads, low tire mileage on the rear's seem to be an across the board issue. One week of driving and I have 1000 miles already. I am definitely not going to sit easy and have to replace the rear tire every two months or so.
For me, that could be $750 or so for a season--just for tires.
On a $30K machine, that is ridiculous. IMO.
I believe that I am going to have a friendly talk with my dealer.
Can we get a listing of car tires that work?

tires
A 225-50 is the same sidewall depth as a 205-55 which is 112. This should give you the same circumference on both tires. However isn't a 205 tire too narrow to fit the rim on the spider???

I'm using a 215/60/15 on my 2012. Speedo is closer to GPS speed, no nanny, rides softer, wife likes it. Michelin Primacy

Used two 205-60-15's on my "11 with no prob; one General Altimax, other Pirelli P4. Will likely use the P4 as my next '14 tire.
