Default SE5 Clutch going bad what are the symptoms

I wanted to ask this question differently than I did previously so started another post.

What are the symptoms when a 2012 RT SE5 clutch starts to go bad?

I would appreciate any experience with this issue.

When you give it the gas under a high-load condition, and the engine revs up; but your velocity doesn't change...

    Default Agree..!!

could also have clutch clatter if components are failing. Not to confuse tire spin with clutch going bad. When it goes you will know..!!

or not under high load condition but you increase throttle and there is a lag before actual acceleration occurs. I friend of mine had his clutch replaced on his 2012 RT SE5 only last week after this condition occurred for several days

    Doc,
Do you know how he rode his bike? Could low engine rpm levels have damaged the clutch plates?

    Default Thanks for update

Doc's comments are the type I am looking for. Someone who actually had experience with a failed clutch and the corresponding symptoms.

So far none of these match my symptoms.

    Keep them coming.!

Maybe if you would tell us what your bike is doing we would have a better answer for you.

    Default clutch issues

Other things that happen in my case was in reverse it acted like it was straining to move and chattering a bit it took a little more throttle than necessary when backing up the entire clutch assembly wasn't bad just some misc. parts and now it is good

    Default clutch

I have a 2010 RT-SE5 A/C At 4000 miles the clutch would not disengage and choke the eng down. Dealer replaced the entire clutch but assembled it wrong and it chattered on take off. Dealer would not open it up and check it. Took to another dealer with 200 miles on it They found the problem and replaced the entire clutch again. @8000 miles it went to slipping eng spin up when changing gears. the dealer installed another clutch with all the latest updates extra disc, larger orfice, larger transmission filter 12000 miles now so far so good.
