Default Akrapovic Exhaust? Sport -vs- Sport Touring

I'm ordering the Akrapovic exhaust for my 2013 RT-S & would like some feed back from the spyderhood. I'm leaning toward the sport model as I would like more sound than the OEM is putting out. So if you have either one of these on your current machines the feed back would be much appreciated. Thanks all!

I just picked up a sport touring from eBay for $560 delivered.

I was told from Akrapovic that both versions sound the same and that the only difference was the looks, which to me is very subtle.

Im having a bung welded on today so haven't installed it yet.

Im also told that the sound is a touch louder and a little deeper, which sounds good to me.

    Default Thanks Snoopy !

I have heard both versions of this exhaust and it sounded the same, I thought it was just me.
Both exhausts do look a little different though.

    Default Choices choices..!!

seems there was a video showing how to remove the baffles on this pipe giving it a much deeper throattier sound. There are some plugs on the back side you can remove. Then remove the allen screws and pull the baffles out. This if the sound is still not to your liking. But both models sound alike....

That video was posted just about a week ago...
Pop the two plugs out that are on the "Wheel" side at the rear.
    The rest, is pretty self-explanatory!

The carbon fiber foot shield is six inches or so longer on the sport touring Akrapovic. I guess so as to prevent the pax from putting their foot on a hot pipe. I had the baffles out for a while, but put them back in; it's an easy operation to remove or reinstall just be careful not to drop one of the Allen head screws into the muffler can. DAMHIKT

    Thanks for the info!

Did you put it back in because it was a little too loud?

I don't mind a little louder than stock, but don't want it annoying for the wife.
