I rode 100 miles home from the dealer last weekend after service and then rode again Sunday. I looked down on Monday and the clip that is supposed to be the first thing you should put pack on was undone. I'm very fortunate I didn't lose mine going up the interstate at 75 mph.

    Default Keep your RT Panels!

    Hello,

A little while ago, I posted this info...give it a look. I have never lost a panel on either of the Spyders I have owned, but I could see how they could come off. The grommets need to be in place (I use cable ties to secure the gromments to their bracket) and insure the panels are installed properly. And.....just in case, cable them if you wish. Based on the feedback on this post, I will be replacing the 20lb leaders with paracord (110lb working strength, 550lb max strength) to improve the holding strength (just in case a panel decides to leave me!).

Look at this link and discussion:

Good luck to all you RT owners!!!

...Glued my grommets in place; no problems with losing them, or the Tupperware!

I simply linked a few tie wraps together and if they were to come off they can't do anything but dangle. Mine have never come off though.
    Happy Spyderlovers
