2014 RT-S Seat Getting Hot?
I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but on my 2014 RT-S I've just noticed that the seat is getting hot (in 65 degree weather). Nothing around the seat is hot (well, just a bit at the base of the glove compartment). The seat is wired into the bike, but I don't think it comes with a heated seat, nor can I find a relevant control on the bike.
Any thoughts?

Hot Seat
I've noticed the same the past few days when temps have got into upper 70's. Seems its coming up from the engine area and is concentrated on/transmitted by the metal frame under the front part of the seat....too close to "privates" to be comfortable.
I have some high temp heat shielding that sticks on and am going to see If I can work some of that onto the underside of the seat. Maybe even a piece on the frame as well. Will let you know if it helps.

That's exactly what my 2013 RT does. It gets really hot on the backbone of the bike right under the seat at the glove box. Also I have heard gas boiling after a ride.

Baker air wings help bring the air to you and the seat.....

They also help keep the rain and cold air off you when you want to.

Now it would be something if you did have some heat to report. Has your snow melted yet?

Only had the RT-S a week now and only 200 miles in mostly 70-80 degree weather. No noticeable heat problems yet.
Also, the 2014 with two radiators seems to dissipate engine heat much better than my old 2008. Extra volume of coolant and more exposure no doubt.

I've had my first hot days, and the seat isn't getting unusually warm (which had been my real concern - a moderate amount of warm at 70 degrees can be a bigger issue at 90).
I think the seat just may hold body heat a little more intensely than my 2010 seat, I'm not sure, but I don't see any sign of the kinds of issues I've heard about on the 2013's.
Or, there may be a bit of heat coming from under the glove compartment, but nothing to alarm me. It is a big motor I'm sitting on, after all.

Is the heat pretty evenly-distributed?
I had it on the low setting and it was noticable through my riding pants. Not to hot just enough to warmed my backside up. This works with the grips so when you set your gribs on it turns on the seat. I have yet to try the hot setting as this may have to happen.
