    Default New 2013 RS-S SE5

Hey all. Just picked up a brand new RS-S SE5 and love it, but it is taking some getting used to. I would like to start customizing by killing the rear cover / plate holder. I have searched for a mounting kit with light but have not had much luck. Only kits that are really pricey for just plastic. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Here is my new baby

Here is why it is taking a bit to get used to LOL

Thanks for the welcome I guess I could go through all of them, but was hoping to get assistance on which vendor offers the "farkle" I am after.

Do you mean that you drive an RT and can't help? Forums are always so hard to read between the lines...

Congrats on the new ride, I have not taken mine off but they unbolt pretty easy. BRP has a new sport fender kit for the 2014 that will fit 2013 that comes off the pan under the seat that houses the light for the tag and raises the tag . Other then that you can mount the tag like riker did and mount one of the small led strips over it to light up the tag

Thanks Billrob! This is the only one that I found and it is $300 for a couple reflectors and a plastic piece. In the sport bike world there are fender delete kits or plate relocation kits that are relatively inexpensive. I do like the look of that one, but I just can't justify the cash.. I do appreciate the help though

One thing you will find out about Spyders and that is nothing about them is inexpensive. Whether it is worth the expense is a matter for discussion.

Good luck with it , You are going to love it,It dose take some getting use to it. I have 250 miles on my 2014 rss came off a 1999 hayabusa so I know what you mean, ride it like a snowmoble not a motorcycle and you will be ok

    Thank you

Actually it is an easy mod:

    1. Remove rear fender and bracket
    2. Purchased a motorcycle license holder off of Ebay, and some license plate bolt lights
    3. Work the license plate wiring back into the bike. You will then reroute it near where you will install new mount ( I tapped it )
    4. Remove the under plate ( above rear tire ). Drilled 3 holes...2 for mounting and one to feed power for lights
    5. Install mount and lights, then re-install plate
    6. Need to be careful of license plate hitting rear tire. Bent mine back a little and stiffened rear shock. If 2 up, be aware

I also think the look is awesome. Enjoy your new ride. There are many things you are going to be doing to it
