Default Got it! Antigravity Batteries Micro-Start PPS XP-1

Just received my Antigravity Batteries Micro-Start PPS XP-1 Multi-Function Jump Starter / Personal Power Supply (purchased it from Amazon.com). Wow, it looks great and mostly charged when I received it. Fully charged now. IF it works as good as it looks, it will be great! I like how small it is and will be handy to move from vehicle to vehicle when we travel on trips.

Based on the reviews on this forum and other sources, looks like a "winner" . Another item for "piece of mind" when travelling.....

    Default Could have used this.

Rode the bike to work this morning around 45 degrees. Got back on the bike went about a mile parked came back out and no start.
Had to jump the bike off from a friends truck. Could have used xp1 or like item. This is on my short list to BUY.

I have purchased one of these and haven't tried it on a spyder or car yet. But I was curious on how long the battery will last just sitting in the back trunk before needing a recharge????

Check your instructions that came with the unit....I believe it said 6 months before it needs to be recharged!

The latest issue (May) of "Motorcycle Consumer News" has a very favorable review of this device. You'll see it on the back cover as the Innovation of the Month.

I bought mine TODAY at Pit Bull even before I registered for Spyderfest. Not once but twice in the last two days I had to have a jump, thanks to the great folks with SPYDERTV. Don't you know it, got to the hotel, unhooked the trailer and took my bags to the room. Two hours later wanted to move the Spyder and darn thing would not start again (2013 RT) hooked up the XP-1 Micro-Start and it started without hesitation right out of the box. Guess a new battery is my first purchase for tomorrow.

I had bought the XP5 Mini a few years ago and recently noticed that it was swelling up. This means that it is unsafe to use as stated by the manufacturer. Since it was no longer covered by the one year Warranty, I was only offered 20 percent off on a new unit. Buyer beware! I ended up getting a Rugged Geek unit.
