Default A couple of Spring Projects

Spent the afternoon working on the Spyder RT.

Took the mirrors off and disassembled them.

Wrapped the lower black plastic trim on the front of the mirror under the blinker in 3M Di-Noc Carbon Fiber. The scariest part was taking the mirrors apart. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and read a couple of post here and took a wack at it. Like everyone says it's a little scary at first but they do just pop apart if you press on the tabs just right.

While I had them apart I went to Radio Shack and bought a couple of LED bulbs part # 267-0011 for $3 each and wired them into the lower inside corner of the mirror assembly so I could use them as a blinker indicator better. The arrow on the dash doesn't show up well in the bright sun.

Just a couple of nice little touches, nothing special just making it mine.

Exactly, where is spring? Like you I woke up to 6 inches of the wettest, heaviest snow we've had this season. That's why I said I spent the afternoon on this project. It took me until noon to dig out a path to the garage.

Can you point me to the YouTube videos for disassembly? Thanks
